This home’s screened porch had an improperly flashed saddle tying it to the home. This caused water to travel inward where it collected in the kitchen ceiling until it collapsed. This damaged the hardwood floors, cabinets, and sheet rock. We tore out the kitchen and floors and replaced all with new. We salvaged the fridge and stove while clients opted to replace the microwave and we installed it above their new “appliance garage.”
